Theatre Designer & Technician

Haley.
Born and raised among the mountains and oceans of the Pacific Northwest, I have a love for adventure and find sentimentality and simplicity in all of my designs.
I am a graduate from the Syracuse University College of Visual and Performing Arts Department of Drama, where I earned my BFA in Theater Design and Technology with Magna cum Laude distinction. I am sister of Kappa Kappa Gamma's Beta Tau chapter.

Most recently, I served as the Lead Dresser (IATSE 887 position) for the Seattle Children's Theater productions of Anne Frank, Black Beauty, Go Dog, Go! and Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: The Rock Experience! I also served as the Assistant to the Costume Shop Manager under Sarah Gordon and was the Dresser Swing for SCT's The Journal of Ben Uchida: Citizen 13559. I finished a Lighting Internship with the Seattle Children's Theater for their 2017 Summer Season.

I Assistant Deck Managed the Microsoft Inspire+Ready Las Vegas show in summer 2019 under Suma Maloy and Cynthia Bishop as well as Deck Managed the Tedx event in Seattle, WA for Hannah Evans in 2018.

In my free time, I renovate everything from Mother-in-Law apartments, RV travel trailers, barn tack rooms, to houses! See projects on @halesishandy on Instagram.

While at SU (Go Orange!) I was the Set Designer for Major Barbara (Dir. Geri Clark, Spring 2017), Le Diable Amoureux (Dir. Chirag Manohar, 2016) and Lord of the Flies (Dir. Andrew Garrett, 2014).
